FUNCTIONAL TESTS AND ISOKINETIC KNEE ASSESSMENT IN STREET RUNNER ATHLETES CORRELATION

ABSTRACT Introduction: The assessment of biomechanical changes related to the lower limbs is necessary in clinical practice measure potential risks injury and influences on existing dysfunction. Biomechanical previous ankle injuries are known influence performance entire limb. Objective: aim this study was correlate muscle strength tests, tests stability with Single Hop Test (SHT). Methods: 82 amateur runners were evaluated isokinetic quadriceps hamstring strength, as well Y Balance (YBT), Weight-bearing Lung (WBLT), SHT. Results: results showed there a significant correlation between SHT YBT subjects hamstring/quadriceps ratio (I/Q ratio) <0.55, length unilateral peak torque ipsilateral knee extensors. Conclusion: successful correlating functional question obtained dynamometry. Level Evidence V; Cross-Sectional Study.
